The Day has come!!!

The team of judges were Ms Leslie Jacobs (Candidate for mayor of New Orleans), Jim Singleton (former New Orleans City Council member), John Baker, (of the Civil Sheriff Paul Valteau's Office) and myself.

We were presented with 6  GREAT gumbos!

It was a difficult decision because the gumbos were so diverse.   The weather was chilly and made the gumbos difficult to get a good aroma.

The winner was ISL's own PE teacher and daughter, Lois & Christine Logigian (recent transplants from upstate New York).  They won this hand carved cutting board embossed with the ISL Cookoff Logo!
